Uzbekistan the Guide Editor's Note

In conjunction with Uzbekistan’s 21 years of independence, I’m delighted to welcome you to the first issue of ‘Uzbekistan The Guide’! This travel guide is an all in one guide for any Malaysians travelling in Uzbekistan. Featuring more than 100 historical sites and up to 60 listings in the most fascinating cities including Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Ferghana Valley and Shakhrisabz, it is definitely the only guide any self respecting traveller would ever need!

Uzbekistan with its rich history is the epitome of ancient Oriental mystery and beauty. Lying between the ancient cradle between the Amu Darya and Syr Darya Rivers, for more than a millenium, the present day antiquity we call Uzbekistan is home to various ancient empires and civilization leaving behind spectacular medieval architectural evidence of a truly unique history. Uzbekistan is the most fascinating of all Central Asian Republics and is a popular destination for ancient practice of pilgrimage ‘Minor Hajj’ and to million of practitioners around the globe. Also, do check out our highlight on the ‘Great Silk Road’ and ‘Chimgan’ as you explore and witness the preserved beauty of ancient Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan’s overt natural beauty is yours to discover!
